This Privacy Policy explains how Nearby Roofing Pros ("we", "us", "our"), which operates NearbyRoofingPros.com (the "Site"), collects, uses, shares and protects information about you.
NearbyRoofingPros.com is a lead-generation and contractor-matching service. We are not a roofing contractor and we do not perform roofing work. The core purpose of the Site is to collect information you choose to provide about a roofing project and share it with roofing professionals and marketing partners so they can contact you. Please read this policy carefully so you understand what that means before you submit a request.
1. Information We Collect
We collect the following categories of information:
- Information you submit through our forms — your first and last name, email address, telephone number, property street address, city, state and ZIP code, the roofing service you are requesting, your roof material, property type, whether you are the homeowner, and your project timeline.
- Consent records — the fact that you checked the consent box, the exact disclosure text shown to you at that moment, and the date and time of your submission.
- Technical and device information — IP address, browser user agent, operating system, device type, and approximate location derived from IP address.
- Usage information — pages viewed, time on page, scroll and interaction events, and the links you click.
- Advertising and attribution parameters — utm_source, utm_medium, utm_campaign, utm_term, utm_content, gclid, fbclid, msclkid, the referring URL, and the landing page URL on which you first arrived.
- Communications — records of correspondence if you contact us by email or telephone.
We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18 years of age. If you believe a minor has submitted information to us, contact us using the details in the Contact section and we will delete it.
2. Lead Information and How It Is Used
The information you submit through a form on the Site is a "lead". Leads are the product this Site exists to create, and we want to be direct about that.
When you submit a request we may:
- Transmit your lead to one or more roofing contractors, home-services providers, lead marketplaces, or other marketing partners so they can contact you about the project you described.
- Store your lead in our systems and in systems operated by service providers acting on our behalf.
- Use your lead and associated information to verify accuracy, prevent fraud and duplicate submissions, and evaluate the quality of our advertising.
- Contact you ourselves regarding your request.
A lead may be shared with more than one partner, which means you may be contacted by more than one company. The Marketing Partners page lists the categories of parties your information may reach.
4. TrustedForm
Where enabled, this Site uses TrustedForm, a service provided by ActiveProspect, Inc., to independently document consent.
When active, the TrustedForm script records your interaction with the form page — including the page as it was presented to you and the actions you took on it — and issues a certificate. The certificate URL is stored with your lead and may be provided to partners who receive your lead as evidence of the consent you gave and the disclosure you were shown.
ActiveProspect processes this information as an independent service provider. Its own privacy practices are described in its privacy policy, which is linked from our Marketing Partners page.
5. Jornaya LeadiD
Where enabled, this Site uses Jornaya LeadiD, a service provided by Verisk Marketing Solutions, to record the events surrounding a lead submission.
When active, the LeadiD script generates a token associated with your visit and form submission. That token is stored with your lead and may be shared with partners who receive it, so the origin and circumstances of the lead can be independently verified.
Verisk processes this information as an independent service provider under its own privacy notice, which is linked from our Marketing Partners page.
6. Your Consent to Be Contacted
Before you submit a request, you are shown a consent disclosure and must affirmatively check a box. The box is never pre-checked. By checking it you provide your express written consent, by electronic signature, to be contacted at the telephone number and email address you provided — including by automatic telephone dialing systems, pre-recorded or artificial voice messages, and SMS/text messages — by us and by one or more of our marketing partners, even if your number is listed on a state, federal or corporate Do Not Call registry.
Consent is not a condition of purchase. You are not required to consent in order to obtain roofing services, and you may seek an estimate directly from any contractor without using this Site.
You may revoke consent at any time by replying STOP to any text message, by following the unsubscribe instructions in an email, or by contacting us using the details in the Contact section. Revoking consent with us does not automatically revoke consent you have given directly to a partner or contractor; contact that party separately.
We retain a record of the consent you gave, including the exact disclosure text displayed to you and the timestamp of your submission.
7. Marketing Partners
Our Marketing Partners page lists the categories of partners and, where applicable, the named parties with whom your information may be shared after you submit a request. That list is reviewed and updated periodically.
Partners that receive your information are independent businesses and are responsible for their own privacy practices, their own compliance with telemarketing law, and their own handling of your information after they receive it. We encourage you to review the privacy policy of any company that contacts you.
9. Data Retention
We retain lead information, consent records and associated technical information for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes described in this policy, including for the length of time required to demonstrate compliance with telemarketing and consent recordkeeping obligations.
Our current retention period for lead and consent records is [retention period placeholder — confirm with counsel]. After that period, records are deleted or de-identified. We may retain aggregated or de-identified information indefinitely.
10. Security
We use administrative, technical and physical safeguards designed to protect the information we hold, including encryption of data in transit, access controls, and limiting the number of people able to access lead data.
No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. You submit information to the Site at your own risk.
11. Your Privacy Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have some or all of the following rights regarding your personal information:
- The right to know what personal information we have collected about you and how it has been used and disclosed.
- The right to request a copy of that information in a portable format.
- The right to request correction of inaccurate information.
- The right to request deletion of your information, subject to exceptions such as our recordkeeping obligations.
- The right to opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information, and of targeted advertising.
- The right not to be discriminated against for exercising any of these rights.
To exercise a right, contact us using the details in the Contact section with enough information for us to verify your identity and locate your records. We will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law.
An authorised agent may submit a request on your behalf with proof of authorisation. Residents of states with comprehensive privacy laws — including California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Utah, Texas and others — may have additional rights and appeal processes described at [state-specific supplement placeholder].
12. Third-Party Sites
The Site links to pages operated by other companies, including contractor and partner websites. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content or privacy practices. This policy applies only to the Site.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of the page. Material changes will be announced on the Site before they take effect.
Your continued use of the Site after an update takes effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
